In today’s article, we’ll be taking a look at the subjects required or simply the JAMB and WAEC subject combination for computer science in any Nigerian university for the year 2019.
As we all know, computer science has become one of the courses with a very wide range of employment opportunities for graduates thereby making many young secondary school leavers desire it as their first choice course in any tertiary institution and beyond.
Many times, students are not granted admission into their various courses of study(computer science in this case) because of the wrong subject combinations in their JAMB and WAEC examinations and that’s why we have decided to enlighten various computer science aspirants out there on the subject combination for computer science or simply, the subjects needed to study computer science in any Nigerian university of your choice(public or private).
NOTE THAT THESE SUBJECT COMBINATIONS IS ALSO APPLICABLE TO STUDENTS ASPIRING TO STUDY IN NIGERIAN POLYTECHNICS, COLLEGES OF EDUCATION AND MONOTECHNICS.

JAMB Subject Combination For Computer Science (2019)
Below are the subjects you are required to write in jour JAMB examinations in order to stand a chance to be admitted into the computer science department in any Nigerian tertiary institution(public and private).
In UTME, note that the Use of English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Computer Science in any Nigerian tertiary institution are:

WAEC/O’Level Subjects Needed To Study Computer Science (2019)
As a student, the word/acronym – WAEC or the word O’Level shouldn’t be a new thing to you. WAEC is an acronym for WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL and it is an examination body in western Africa that is responsible for conducting examinations for candidates who are willing to gain entry into higher institution ranging from the Polytechnics, University, and colleges in West African countries(Nigeria inclusive).
To apply for Computer Science as a UTME candidate, O’Level subjects required are Mathematics, English, Physics and any other two subjects chosen from the following:
NOTE THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SCORE A MINIMUM OF CREDIT(C6) IN THESE SUBJECTS.
